I unearthed this drawing from my files. I did it back in 2002. It's based on a neighbor I had a crush on. A friend's sister, she is a skilled basketball player and musician. My friend would tell me she's become such a proficient athlete, her body's become aerodynamic. A positive way to throw an insult.
I've been trying to repeat the style I used since: a pencil sketch outlined with ink and colored with color pencils. It's important for me to keep the sketch and color pencil strokes. I think it gives depth and texture to the drawing. :: pencil & ink on book paper; color pencils for coloring; Photoshop for cleanup & filter effects :: |
